jugad: my blog on software innovation (at LiveJournal.com) March 12, 2006

I believe (inspired by many leading technology and management thinkers – Tim O’Reilly and Peter Drucker are two among them) that innovation is vitally important to progress; and software is my main area of work, so naturally, software innovation is a key area of interest to me.

I started a blog to track software innovation that’s happening worldwide, some months back, for the following reasons:

- as a help to my own work on software innovation. The blog is a central place from where I can access info on interesting developments that I may want to work and build upon.

- as a way to share the info on innovation that I collect – there is too much of it out there for me to work on myself, so I thought, why not let any others who are interested get the info as well; hopefully some of the readers will be inspired by some of the posts to do some innovation themselves.

- to publicize my skills and knowledge, and thereby promote my service offerings in the marketplace.

The blog’s URL is http://jugad.livejournal.com (read the first post there to see why I chose the name jugad – or ask any Indian friend who knows Hindi reasonably well :-)

[This WordPress.com blog seems to have good features, so after exploring it for a bit, I may migrate the jugad blog over to here.
Will inform my readers at both the blogs if I do that.]
